“変、不変” による不老不死意識。そして “色彩嗜好” に受ける静謐。

個展『艶』(２００２年・７月開催)。香ばしい花はたくさんありますが、中でも “百合” はたくさんの人に好かれ様々な場に飾られます。「白、ピンク、紫、赤、橙、黄」と “艶やかな色” を描きました。花の色に合わせ地を、金箔、銀箔、イブ・クライン・ブルーにしました。それは「変化する銀、不変の金とアクリル」の素材の違いで “変化、不変” の対比を表しています。いつまでも美しくいたい、生きていたいという人の願望。それを “花” にたとえ、次第に変化していく “銀” に映る自己との対比にしました。そして “イブ・クライン・ ブルー” を地色にした作品は、花に特殊蛍光塗料を使い、月明かり のようなブラックランプに反射するものです。一日の時間変化を踏まえ、昼光と月光の対比、光に反応する作品です。遠くにいった人 達に捧げる私の “百合” です。

"Lily" is one of the most popular flowers, fancied by many people and decorated at various places. In white, pink, purple, red, sour orange, yellow, I painted lilies in the "charming colors". To coordinate with the color of flowers, the background was made with gold leaf, silver leaf, and the Eve Klein blue. It expresses the contrast of "eternity and mortality" with the different material of the mortal silver and eternal gold and acrylics. A desire of those who want to be young and live forever. I expressed it in the shape of flowers, and contrasted with the background of the "silver" which ages as time goes by. And for the work of "Eve Klein blue", I used the special fluorescent paint for a flower, and it reflects in a black lamp like moonlight. It is the work which reacts to contrast of daylight and moonlight. These are my "Lilies" dedicated to the people who are away in the distance.
