“浮揚感、尊厳なる陽光” に受ける死生観そして “昂揚感” による勇気。

個展「聖」(１９９８・１２月開催/600x600mm x105点+600x450mm x5点 計110点 綿布、アクリル、金箔、金泥、胡粉、パステル)は、“９２年チベット巡行” と “８９、９６年トルコ巡行” の時受けたチベット仏教、イスラム密教（スーフィズム・メブラーナ）の衝撃的影響を表現したものです。モチーフは、「雲海から山頂出す、ヒマラヤ山脈。そして大きな太陽」。“雲海” の表現に、銀箔と胡粉を用い、“太陽” の表現に、金箔と金泥を用いました。テーマは「生きること、死すること」です。人は、未来に対して憂いています。私はチベットで見た “神々しい、神秘的な風景” にスーフ ィズムの音楽を融合させた空間を作り、生きることや死することを踏まえた「生に対する “勇気” 」を与えられたらと、考えました。
画廊の特徴である、北側道路に面したウィンドウ（2800X2560X350mm）にモニターを置き、内部空間と作品イメージを増長するためのパフォーマンスを行い映しました。パフォーマンスは、友人の “オイリュトミー・アーチスト宇佐美陽一氏” です。これにより「1.ヴィジュアル・ イメージの定着、音楽との同調によるイメージの拡大化 2.通行人を一見さんに変えること」の可能性を求めました。

I wanted to express the influence of the Tibet Buddhism and esoteric Islam(Sufism MEVLANA), which I experienced when I visited Tibet in 1992 and Turkey in 1989, 1996. The image indicates the summit of the Himalaya Mountains sticking out from a sea of clouds, and the big sun. Silver leaf and Paris white were used to express "sea of clouds", and gold leaf and gold paint were used for the big sun expression. To the people who are anxious about their future and death, I wanted to give the courage of life through my space where the mystical scenery of Tibet and the music of Sufism are united.
I arranged a monitor in the window (2800X2560X350mm) of the gallery which faces to the north-side road to show a performance to amplify the images of the internal space and my works. The performance was done by my friend, Oirytomy artist Yoichi Usami. These atmospheres attracted people, and made them come to my exhibition.
