淨Series PURGE
題材による鑑賞者の心理（先入観、潜在意識）と絶対感覚。
そして ”色彩” に受ける沈静。

個展「琤」（２００３年・６月開催）は、'８６年以来巡行しているアジア各地で咲き、平和の象徴とされる ”蓮” をモチーフにしました。蓮の葉は、陽光を透かし、方位によって異なる印象を与えます。その違いを四方４作で表現しました。花は紅蓮に限定しました。これは葉の色とのコントラストを考慮したものです。私は、ヒトが地球上で生活するのに必要な ”絶対感覚” を重要と考え制作しています。今回の蓮は、葉色に ”方位” をとても感じます。鑑賞者には、自己の感覚をいままで以上に考え、感じてもらえるものと思います。
さて、私は初個展「光と影」以来、二元性に対する興味を表現しています。それと、その ”境界”。前作「艶」で実験的に扱った ”特殊蛍光塗料” を用い、作品に二面性を持たせました。蓮の花は、深夜に開花し午前中に閉じ、４日で落ちます。つまり夜明け前（月光）と明けてからの（陽光）の印象の違いを作品の二面性として表現しました。
作品サイズは、日本国内の基準である襖（壁面）を意識した２：１（一間x半間）のサイズです。１点を４枚単位で制作しました（８畳間の空間、四方を囲みます）。四方各１点に画廊外側ウィンドウ展示の１点を加えた５点です。私の考える ”ユニット絵画” の新しい展開です。

Exhibition "PURGE" (July 2003)
"Lotus" which symbolizes peace, is the motif for this exhibition. Lotus flowers all over Asia, where I have been visiting since 1986. And under sunlight its leaves give different expressions from each point of view. I chose the style which a series of four pictures in expressing these differences. I intentionally limited the flowers of scarlet colors in consideration with the contrast in color with the leaves. I create my works with the idea that "absolute senses" essential to human lives to be of great importance. The color of lotus leaves inspires me of "directions". I am confident that it also leaves the audience with the chance to consider their own sense more after experiencing my exhibition.
Since my first exhibition "Light and Shadow", I have been in expressing my interest in duality and its boundary. The fluorescent paint I have tried in my last work "Series SPLENDOR" is helping me express this duality. Lotus flowers bloom at midnight, close its petals before noon, and falls off from the stem by the fourth day. The moonlight before dawn and the sunshine after daybreak, these different impressions are the duality reflected in my work.
The size of the pictures are 2:1(1ken~0.5ken), which is the standard size of the Japanese room partition "Fusuma". "Series PURGE" consists of four pictures to be presented on all four walls.(equal to a 8 tatami room) Four pictures, plus the one on the showcase outside the gallery, it is my concept of the new development of art works in unit peaces.
